Self Portrait, Pink Era

A watercolour self-portrait on 300gsm sketchbook paper, capturing me in my 20s—when I proudly rocked vibrant pink hair. While I feel the nose isn’t quite right, it’s the eyes that truly carry the likeness; when my mum shared it with friends, they instantly recognised me from the gaze alone. I especially love the textured freckles, adding life and warmth to the piece. These days, pink hair isn’t quite compatible with a white marble bathroom, but this painting celebrates a bold, joyful version of myself that still lives inside.
