Middle Aged Women of a Certain Age
Project type
Graphic Design
Date
December 2025
Location
York, UK
This collection was born from the perfect cocktail of misogyny, media spin, and middle-aged defiance. A tongue-in-cheek yet razor-sharp response to TV chef Gregg Wallace’s dismissive claim that workplace complaints about his behaviour came from “middle-class women of a certain age”—as if their voices should be ignored, belittled, or brushed aside.
Rather than being silenced, this collection reclaims his words and flips them into a feminist badge of honour, proudly worn by women who won’t be quiet, won’t stay small, and won’t let anyone tell them they’re irrelevant.
* “Middle Class Woman of a Certain Age” – loud and unapologetic. A celebration of privilege used as platform, voice, and weapon against inequality.
* “Be Less Gregg” – a sly directive aimed not at the bakery, but at the outdated arrogance of men who weaponise charm while dismissing accountability. A wearable call for self-awareness and less ego.
* “Confidence of a Mediocre Middle-Aged Man” – a witty manifesto for anyone watching lesser-qualified men succeed with baffling confidence. Why not borrow a little of that audacity?
This collection blends feminist humour with cultural commentary, creating wearable protest pieces designed to spark conversations, laughs, and maybe a few awkward silences at family dinners. Printed on-demand using sustainable practices, the range includes T-shirts, sweatshirts, and accessories in bold, graphic styles.
For the women who refuse to fade quietly into the background—because their time is now, and their voices aren’t going anywhere.
